Founded in India in 1990, the Institute of Directors (IOD) is a national association of Corporate Directors, registered under the Societies Registration Act, XXI of 1860. IOD has played a pivotal role in developing business leaders capable of addressing the complexities of the modern economic landscape. Through its educational programs, training initiatives, events, and promotion of best practices, IOD fosters a leadership community that recognizes the vital link between responsible governance and sustainable economic growth.

For over 35 years, the Institute of Directors (IOD) has been at the forefront of a quiet revolution in boardrooms, establishing itself as India’s premier organization for directors. Today, IOD is proud to be associated with approximately 30,000 senior executives from government, public, and private sectors across India and beyond.
